Take a scenic drive through countryside and participate in a safety briefing before heading for an exciting journey of white water rafting on Kiulu River. The beautiful and scenic Kiulu River is an exciting introduction to the joys of river rafting. Rivers have long been the life-arteries of the indigenous peoples of Borneo. They have served as means of transport, a source of food and now, a resource for ecotourism. The native groups of Sabah have used bamboo rafts for centuries but white water rafting as a recreational activity has only surfaced in the 1980s. The Kiulu River, which is certified as Grade 2 in the international white water rafting grading system is suitable for novices and beginners. All participants will be equipped with safety helmets and life-jackets. Participants will be hosted for a BBQ lunch at the riverbank before returning to the ship.
